More than half of the 27 bryozoan species here described from various Egyptian Miocene localities are new to Egypt. Three are new to science, and all indicate deposition of the enclosing beds in a warm, shallow- water, near-shore marine environment. Some of the species are Burdigalian indicators; a few range from Vindobonian to Recent.
