Morphology of some key species of Nummulites from the Indian Eocene
Barun K. Sen Gupta
"Nummulites acutus (Sowerby), N. bagelensis Verbeek, N. beaumonti d'Archiac and Haime, and N. perforatus (de Montfort) are described from the Lutetian of Kutch, northwestern India. The specimens include some topotypic material, and except for N. bagelensis, of which only the megalospheric form was found, the internal morphology of both the generations is discussed in detail. All of these species are useful in local and interregional correlations of the Indo-Pacific marine Eocene strata."
