The coral genus Kraterostrobilos

The one common ahermatypic coral of the North American West Coast Jurassic, Kraterostrobilos bathys Crickmay 1930, was declared in the "Treatise on invertebrate paleontology," Part F, 1956, to belong to an unrecognizable genus, possibly because the original specimens could be prepared only in section. Illustrations of a well-preserved silicified specimen, recently found in the Middle Jurassic near Basque, British Columbia, are reproduced here to supplement the original description.
