Additional occurrences of eospiriferid brachiopods

In a recent synopsis and revision of the Eospiriferidae (Boucot, 1963), an attempt was made to show the total known geographic distribution of the eight genera of the family. Additional occurrences that significantly extend the geographic range are reported here, from Asiatic Russia, northern South America, and North America. Specimens of Eospirifer, Macropleura, Cyrtia, and Janius are reported from the Silurian and Lower Devonian of Oklahoma, Texas, Nevada, and California.
