The validity of the name Polygnathus (Conodonta, Devonian and lower Carboniferous)

It is proposed that Polygnathus dubia be retained although it is a nomen dubium, but that its designation as type species be annulled in favor of P. robusticostata. Changes required in certain subspecific and zone names are mentioned.
