Type localities of some American Cretaceous foraminiferal genotype species described by Ehrenberg

The status of some genera of Cretaceous Foraminifera based on species described by Ehrenberg has depended on the original inadequate drawings. Later publications have stated that the original localities and exact horizons were unknown, and therefore topotype material was unavailable. Actually only a few American Cretaceous samples were sent to Ehrenberg, and their sources were described at that time. Discussion and a table document the type localities stratigraphically and geographically, thus topotype material may be collected.
