Additional specimens of Erieopterus pustulosus (Hall), a peculiar eurypterid from the Bertie formation of western New York, are described. This new morphological evidence results in the proposal of a new genus, Buffalopterus. A new species of Buffalopterus is also described from the Ordovician of New York, and a new species of Carcinosoma is describe from the well-known Lower Vernon Pittsford) fauna of western New York.
