Gastropods from the Redwall Limestone (Mississippian) in Arizona
Ellis L. Yochelson
A large gastropod fauna from the Redwall Limestone in northern Arizona had yielded abundant euomphalaceans, some loxonemataceans and pleurotomariaceans, and scattered specimens assigned to 4 other superfamilies. Six species are well enough represented to deserve formal taxonomic treatment. Straparollus (Straparollus) ophirensis (Hall and Whitfield), S. (Euomphalus) utahensis (Hall and Whitfield) S. (Euomphalus) subplanus (Hall), and Rhineoderma dinglensis (Girty) are redescribed. Two new species, Baylea coheni and Loxonema knighti, are described.
