The microspore genus Cingulatisporites Thomson, 1953

The genus Cingulatisporites Thomson, and its genotype C. levispeciosus Pflug, 1953, are redescribed to emphasize the presence of an appended equatorial rim or "cingulum" as being a diagnostic characteristic of the morphology of the genus.
