New cricetid rodents from the Niobrara River fauna, Nebraska

Systematic description is given of 2 new cricetid rodents of the late Miocene Niobrara River fauna, collected at the Niobrara Game Preserve, Cherry County, Nebraska. They are Miochomys niobrariensis Hoffmeister, n. gen. and n. sp., based on part of a left maxilla bearing M 1 , and Peromyscus kellogae Hoffmeister, n. sp., based on part of a left mandible with M 1 .
