Turritella granti, a new Pleistocene gastropod from Palos Verdes Hills, California

James William Valentine, and Takeo Susuki

A new species of Turritella, T. granti Valentine & Susuki, is based on a single specimen collected from lower Pleistocene Timms Point silt at Palos Verdes Hills, California. The species is distinguished by a high maximum of spiral sinus and a negative growth-line angle.
