Miocene (Burdigalian) Foraminifera from Kathiawar, western India

S. B. Bhatia, and K. Mohan

Records 60 species and varieties of smaller foraminifers (including Palmerinella raoi n.sp.) from Miocene limestones of the Kathiawar coastal region. Vertical changes in the faunas and lithology of the beds indicate a gradual change from a near-shore epineritic to an offshore infraneritic depositional environment.
