Describes algae (including Mizzia bramkampi n.sp.) from core samples of Khuff limestones penetrated by a well in the Dammam area. The genus Mizzia is transferred from the Cyclocrineae to the Diploporeae, and an emended description is given. The algal assemblage indicates that the Khuff formation is late middle or late Permian in age, and that the limestones were deposited in a very shallow, warm marine environment.
