Distinguishes seven foraminiferal faunas, ranging in age from Turonian to Maestrichtian, in the eastern outcrop belt of upper Cretaceous deposits in Colombia. The beds were laid down in a narrow seaway which extended from Peru to Venezuela and which may have connected the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Descriptions of fossil localities are given.
