The Permian Eurydesma fauna of eastern Argentina

Horacio J. Harrington

Describes pelecypods (including new species) and brachiopods (including Chonetes pillahuincensis n. sp. and the new genus Notospirifer) from the Permian Pillahuinco group in the southern hills of Buenos Aires province, Argentina. The assemblage exhibits pronounced Australian affinities and is characterized by the first recorded occurrence of the pelecypod Eurydesma in South America.
