A new lower Cretaceous stromatoporoid, Bekhmeia wetzeli from northern Iraq

Describes Bekhmeia wetzeli n.g. n.sp., a fasciculate stromatoporoid from the lower Cretaceous Qamchuqa limestone of Bekhme gorge, Kurdistan, Iraq; a summary of the Jurassic-Cretaceous stratigraphy at the type locality is included.
