An aberrant nautiloid of the Timor Permian

A. K. Miller, and Charles Collinson

Nautilus (Aganides) bitauniensis, described from the Permian beds of Timor by Haniel in 1915, is referred to the new genus Permoceras. The form exhibits close morphological similarity with Pseudonautilus, which however is known only from the upper Jurassic.
